Welder Fabricator

Reports To: Plant Manager

Job Overview: This position is responsible for the SAFE handing, fitting, welding, grinding, and properly tagging of product being bent on the press brake.

Duties and Responsibilities:                     

  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Fitting and welding parts for jobs to specifications
  • Properly tagging completed work with required information
  • Follow all SOP’s and JSA’s
  • Operation of forklifts and hoists
  • Checking quality of work to drawings / specification and part quantity
  • Other task as instructed by supervision

Qualifications: Education: Highschool or GED, Vo-Tech/Trade School (preferred)

Experience: 1-2 Years industrial/manufacturing environment

Specific Skills: Welding, Forklift (preferred)

Physical Abilities: Standing/Bending full shift, lifting up to 50lbs, exposure to loud noises may require hearing protection, Exposure to chemicals and fumes may require use of respirator, various sheet metal products may require specific PPE protection, communication with others, some repetitive motion

Material Handler

This position is responsible for moving our components throughout the shop from one work center to the next. They will issue materials from the shop floor to their necessary work order as well as coordinate picking up parts pulled by the inventory crib that have been issued out and delivering them to the necessary area on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Transport inventory and components between work centers and from the inventory crib to the shop floor.
  • Issue manufactured and purchased components stored in bulk to the appropriate work orders.
  • Ensure the continuous flow of products by moving completed items from one work center to the next.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Vo-Tech/Trade School preferred.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Skills: Forklift operation (preferred).

Final Assembler

Report To: Assembly/ Shipping Department Manager

Job Overview:  This position is responsible for the SAE assembly and shipping of various Imperial Systems equipment and purchased items as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of forklifts, hoists, shrink wrap heat gun, banding equipment and various other hand tools used in the assembling, moving and shipping of product.
  • Basic maintenance of all equipment and tools used
  • Ability to read and interpret general assembly drawings
  • Prepare product for shipment and load trailers/trucks
  • Perform and document essential quality and process checks to specifications.
  • Work as part of a team of 2 or more a significant amount of the time
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping
  • Follow all SOP’s and JSA’s
  • Operation of forklifts and hoists
  • Checking quality of work to drawings/specification and part quantity
  • Complete paperwork as required. Timecards, process checks, check sheets, etc.
  • Other tasks as instructed by Supervision

Filter Manufacturing

This position is responsible for the safe production of quality dust collection filters. This product line is essential to the growth and success of Imperial Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safe set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of all equipment required to manufacture quality dust collection filters; examples include: filter media pleating machine, pleating seamer, core coiling machine, spot welder, urethane dispenser, glue dispensers, shrink wrap machine, cording machine, and various other hand tools and devices as required.
  • Perform and document essential traceability information, quality and process checks to specifications.
  • Perform general cleaning and housekeeping
  • Follow all SOP’s and JSA’s
  • Operation of forklifts and hoists
  • Check quality of work to drawings/specification and part quantity
  • Complete paperwork as required. Timecards, process checks, check sheets, etc.
  • Other tasks as instructed by supervision

Requirements:

  • High school or GED, Vo-Tech or trade school preferred
  • 1 – 2 years experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Specific skills: Spot welding/welding (preferred), Forklift (preferred)
